Job Summary:

Technicians must be able to perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical components up to 600 VAC. Technicians will be required to maintain, replace, troubleshoot, repair and install electrical equipment including service equipment, power distribution switchboards and panel boards, protective devices, transformers, feeders and branch circuit wiring, raceways, motors, motor circuits, motor controllers and motor control centers, electronic equipment and wiring, lighting systems, emergency power, wiring devices, portable tools and equipment and other types of utilization equipment. All work must conform to the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Successful completion of an electrical program.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, electrical logic and loop diagrams, motor control center breakers, starters, and switchgear.
  • Experience in Variable Speed Drive set up.
  • Experience in Uninterruptible Power Supply installation.
  • Demonstrated ability with the English language in reading, writing and oral communication.

Certifications:

Certified Master Electrician- License must be issued by the State of Alabama or any states that reciprocate with Alabama or organizations recognized by the Union and Company.
